SSI 5000-ED Dual Shaft Hook Sheer Shredder System

The SSI 5000-ED Dual Shaft Hook Sheer Shredder System is a robust, refurbished shredding system suitable for complex material processing. It features a model 5000-ED dual shaft shredder with an opening size of 52" x 102", powered by two 200 HP electric motors that were completely rebuilt in 2020. The shredding chamber is divided into two sections of 1.5” and 2”, ensuring precise material breakdown. Despite the total unit hours being unknown, it has been maintained in excellent condition with low operational hours since its refurbishment. The cutters, which are integral to its operation, retain 90% of their life, making it efficient for processing materials like insulated copper and aluminum wires and radiators. Included in the system is a fully rebuilt 300 HP American Pulverizer Ringmill with a 48" W x 36" rotor, providing additional processing capability. This unit is complemented by a "new" Javelin Eddy Current Separator and Magnetic Stainless Steel Separator, acquired in 2022 but never installed. These separators have a 60" width, ensuring high-efficiency separation of materials. The system also encompasses components such as the SSI smart drive electrical panel, a stand-alone HMI control center, a hopper, and a shredder stand. Additional parts include several used spacers, cutters, finger shims, and a new oil seal kit. The equipment is disassembled and ready for transport, offering a complete shredding solution for industrial applications.
