Welex 4.5" Pelletizing Line

The Welex 4.5" Pelletizing Line is a comprehensive recycling solution designed for efficient material processing. It features a 4.5-inch diameter vented barrel with a length-to-diameter (L/D) ratio of 36:1. Equipped with an 11:674.1 gear ratio and powered by a robust 250 HP DC motor, this system ensures reliable performance. The line includes a hydraulic power unit and accumulator, along with an external water pump and heat exchanger for optimal water-cooling. This pelletizing line is engineered with 6 barrel zones and 5 die zones for versatile downstream processing. It includes a 6” slide gate screen changer and a speed pot for precise screw speed control. Safety is prioritized with an emergency stop (E Stop) feature. The package also contains a variable speed controller for the external infeed auger, although the auger itself is not included. Built in August 1986, and complete with a Berringer WRP 12 Under Water Pelletizer, this Welex pelletizing line remains a valuable asset for recycling operations.
