Davis Standard 6" Single Screw Extruder System

The Davis Standard 6" Single Screw Extruder System is a robust piece of used recycling equipment, ideal for processing tasks. It operates with a powerful 400 HP DC motor and drive, facilitating efficient performance. The extruder is equipped with a vented barrel that includes two vents, one of which is plugged, providing flexibility for different materials, previously utilized for PP materials. The system features a 34:1 L/D ratio double vented barrel and boasts eight barrel zones and five die zones for precise control. For added versatility and longevity, the extruder comes with a spare screw, a spare DC drive, and a spare 400 HP DC motor, all new. The system operates with some heater bands replaced with ceramic heaters while being set up for water cooling to maintain optimum operating conditions. A Eurotherm 2008 controller ensures precise process management and control. Additional components include an 8” slide gate screen changer powered by a hydraulic power unit with an accumulator and operator control, enhancing ease of use and maintenance. The gear box ratio is 11:478.1, and this model is from 1999. The system was fully operational upon removal, making it a dependable choice for recycling or trash processing needs.
